1. Key Terms and Format Explanations
1.1 Player in Online Tournaments
A Player is a tournament participant who plays solo, as a team, or as part of a team. A Player consists of a PC, a nickname, a Discord account, and a physical person. Participation is allowed only for a real physical person; substitution is prohibited (clause 3.3). It is prohibited to use one physical person, nickname, or Discord account for multiple players. Each player must have a unique set of components. Using one PC by multiple players is not recommended; if it happens, the organizer must be informed and may deny participation. Replacing a PC, nickname, or account during or between tournaments is not recommended; however, if replaced, informing the organizer is mandatory. Failure to report changes that caused issues is considered a violation of clause 3.3.
1.2 Game
A Game is a process that starts with launching the actual game session, during which players interact with the game and with each other, and ends with one of the players winning. Essentially, it is a single, continuous game.
1.3 Match / Set
A Match (or Set) is a series of games played continuously between the same players to determine a winner at a specific stage of the tournament.
1.4 "bo" Format (Best of)
"bo" is short for the English "Best of". bo5: Opponents can play up to 5 games. The winner is the one who gets 3 wins first. bo9: Up to 9 games. The winner is the one who gets 5 wins first. The remaining games are not played if the winner is decided early.
1.5 "fix" Format (Fixed number of games)
The "fix" format means all players must play a fixed number of games against each opponent, regardless of current results. For example, fix5: each player plays 5 games against each opponent in the group. Even if one player wins the first 3, the remaining games are still played.
1.6 Random Reverse
In this format: First game: Armies and player positions are determined randomly. Second game: Players swap armies and positions from the previous game. This cycle repeats in each next pair of games. Before each game starts, players must inform the opponent which army they received. If one player requests a Restart, the other must provide it.
1.7 Mirror (Mirror Match)
A format in which both players choose the same army (for example: China vs China, GLA vs GLA). All other conditions are standard.
1.8 Random Mirror
In this format: One player starts the game in Random mode, the other in observer mode. After the first player gets a random army, the game is restarted (Restart). Both players manually choose the same army that was randomly assigned. This format combines randomness and the balance of a mirror matchup.
1.9 Restart
A Restart is restarting the game immediately after it begins (usually within the first 10 seconds). After a Restart, players choose the armies and positions that were randomly assigned.
1.10 FFA (Free For All)
"Everyone for themselves" is a format in which all players play individually and cannot form alliances, except in cases specifically provided by the rules of a particular tournament.
1.11 Penalties:
1.11.1 Warning
A Warning is the mildest type of penalty, issued verbally or in writing to a player when the rules do not provide for a harsher sanction. A warning by itself has no immediate consequences for gameplay. However, two or more warnings issued within a short period may be considered a systematic violation of the rules and will have consequences according to clause 7 of these regulations.
1.11.2 Technical Loss
A Technical Loss is assigning a loss to a player with the maximum possible score предусмотреним by the tournament rules, without actually playing the match.
1.11.3 Technical Draw
A Technical Draw is a special type of draw result where a draw (with a 0-0 score) is recorded without actually playing the match. No tournament points are awarded for such a match in the overall standings.
1.11.4 Disqualification
Disqualification is a serious penalty that voids all matches already played by the player and assigns technical losses to them in all played and not yet played matches. If two disqualified players were supposed to play each other, a technical draw is recorded for them.
1.12 Disrespect
Disrespect is a serious violation expressed in verbal, written, or in-game form toward referees, organizers, or opponents. It undermines the principles of fair play and mutual respect. Verbal: insults, threats, obscene language, aggression. Written: offensive messages, rumors, indecent inscriptions. In-game: provocations, stalling, simulation, unjustified interruption of the game, and other actions. Organizers have the right to assess the degree of disrespect. Gross or repeated disrespect is punished according to clause 7 of the regulations.
2. Dates and Deadlines
2.1 Main Deadlines
These are the dates by which all players must complete their matches.
2.2 Extended Deadlines
In the case of objective circumstances (for example, illness, vacation, force majeure), a player has the right to contact the organizers with a request to extend the deadlines. The decision is made at the organizers' discretion. If a player abuses this option, they may be refused or a previously granted permission may be revoked.
2.3 Organizers' Right to Extend
Organizers reserve the right to extend both the main and extended deadlines on their own initiative, without the need to explain the reasons.
3. Fair Play Rules
3.1 Gen Tool Availability (latest version)
Players must have the latest version of Gen Tool. All games must be recorded to the Gen Tool website. Recording on a personal computer is also possible, but recording only on a personal computer is not encouraged. Penalties for missing recordings (replays) will be determined by the arbitration, depending on the specific situation.
3.2 Ban on Third-Party Software (CHEATS)
All matches on the AGGSS_H_MacB.ns server must be played according to fair play principles. It is prohibited to use any third-party software (including but not limited to cheats, macros, scripts, game bugs) that gives a player an advantage.
3.3 Ban on Player Substitution
It is prohibited to play instead of another player or to allow another person to play instead of you.
3.4 Ban on Coaching
It is prohibited to receive hints, instructions, or any other assistance during the game, including via voice communication or chats.
3.5 Ban on Teaming in FFA
In Free For All (FFA) matches, any form of teaming, coordination of actions, or cooperation between players is prohibited unless it is provided by a separate tournament regulation.
4. Technical Loss
4.1 Disqualification and Technical Losses
A player may be disqualified from the tournament with all played matches voided in case of violation of fair play rules, namely clauses 3.2 and 3.3. Disqualification is also possible for systematic violation of clauses 3.1, 3.4, and 3.5. In other cases, a technical loss with the maximum score is applied (except for provided technical draws 0:0).
4.2 Invalid Matches
A match that lasted 45 seconds or less is considered invalid and must be replayed.
4.3 Violation of Match Conditions
If a match was played on a non-regulation map, but it was a map with the appropriate number of players, the match is not replayed because both players are responsible for following the regulations. If other mandatory conditions were violated (for example, army format), the match must be replayed.
4.4 Connection Loss (Disconnect)
4.4.1 For 1v1 and Team Matches
In case of a connection loss (disconnect (high ping of one of the players is considered a disconnect)), the following applies: The affected player has three options: Replay the match. Accept the loss. Award themselves the win. Exception: If the player whose connection caused the disconnect had an obvious and significant advantage (much better position, map control, armies, etc.), they have the right to обратиться to the arbitration, which will make a decision. If it is impossible to determine who caused the disconnect and the arbitration cannot establish an advantage for either player, the match is replayed.
4.4.2 For FFA Matches
In case of a connection loss (disconnect), the player who disconnected receives an unconditional loss at this stage, regardless of the situation on the battlefield.
4.5 Leaving a Set
If one of the players stopped participating in the set (series of games), their opponent has the right to: Demand technical wins for all unfinished games. Wait for the opponent to return and continue the match later.
4.6 Match Suspension
A match may be suspended by an arbitration decision while disputed issues are being resolved. In this case, these matches may go beyond the tournament deadlines until the arbitration makes a final decision on the dispute and announces the resumption of the match.
4.7 Voluntary Withdrawal from the Tournament
After the tournament starts, voluntary withdrawal with result cancellation is not allowed. A player who decides to stop participating automatically receives technical losses with the maximum score in all unplayed matches. All matches already played by them remain unchanged.
4.8 System of Technical Losses by "Pings"
This system is used as a mechanism for determining the winner and begins to apply according to the tournament regulations or upon notification by the organizers. Rules for counting pings:
- 4.8.1 Ping time: daily from 19:00 to 23:55 in the tournament chat.
- 4.8.2 Validity of a ping: A ping is valid only if the player's nickname was pinged, not the player's role.
- 4.8.3 Win by pings: A 3-ping advantage (for example, 3–0 or 4–1) results in a technical win with the maximum score. If a 3-ping advantage is not achieved by the deadlines, then a technical win with the maximum score is awarded to the player who has the ping advantage at the moment the deadline ends.
- 4.8.4 Refusal to play: If the opponent responds within 30 minutes, but you refuse to play, you are awarded a technical loss with the maximum score (exception: if you are playing a tournament match at that time).
- 4.8.5 Player activity: if during a day (at any time) at least one game involving the player is recorded, pings against them for that day are not counted.
- 4.8.6 Ping limit: Maximum one ping per day against one opponent.
- 4.8.7 Pinging multiple players: If you ping multiple players and at least one plays with you that day, pings against the others are not counted. After the match, you may ping again and they will count. If none agreed to play, all pings count.
- 4.8.8 Notice of absence: If you cannot play on certain days, notify the general chat before 19:00 — then pings against you are not counted (except for the last 7 days of the tournament).
- 4.8.9 Determining the winner when pings are equal: If at the deadline the number of pings is equal (except 0:0), artificial intelligence determines the winner based on the matchup history.
- 4.8.10 Zero draw by pings: If at the deadline the ping score is 0:0, the final result is recorded as a technical draw with a 0:0 score.
4.9 Technical Draw Due to Lack of Activity
In case of a prolonged lack of any feedback or activity from both players, the arbitration has the right to record a 0:0 technical draw by the deadlines.
5. Equal Points
5.1 Determining Placement by Head-to-Head Results
If at the end of the tournament several players have the same number of points, their place in the tournament standings is determined by the results of head-to-head matches between them.
5.2 Tiebreak in Case of Uncertainty
If head-to-head results do not allow positions to be determined unambiguously (for example, a circular tie), an additional tiebreak is held.
5.3 Tiebreak Format
The tiebreak is held in bo3 Air Mirror format on a (RANK) map.
5.4 Tiebreak Scheme
For two players, one bo3 is played between them. If there are three or more players, they play in a round-robin system (everyone plays everyone).
5.5 Map Selection for the Tiebreak
Players must choose the map for each match by mutual agreement. If they cannot agree, the organizer assigns the map.
5.6 Repeated Tiebreak
If equality remains after the tiebreak, the round-robin system (everyone plays everyone) is repeated.
6. Arbitration
6.1 Dispute Resolution Principle
All disputes should first be attempted to be resolved by the players themselves. Only if a compromise cannot be reached is it allowed to contact the arbitration.
6.2 Right to Contact Referees
Each participant has the right to contact one or several referees.
6.3 Arbitration's Right to Make Decisions
Arbitration has the right to make a final decision at its own discretion, guided by the provisions of these regulations or, if necessary, its own assessment of the situation.
6.4 Replacement of the Arbitration Team
If the current arbitration team cannot resolve a dispute, it will be replaced. The new team will take over consideration and resolution of the disputed issue.
7. Sanctions for Violations
For systematic or gross violation of the general regulations and the regulations of specific tournaments, disrespect toward the arbitration, organizers, and opponents, as well as a large number of technical losses in tournaments, organizers reserve the right to deny a player participation in subsequent tournaments.
8. Acceptance of the Rules
Participation in tournaments automatically means acceptance of these regulations, as well as the regulations of the specific tournament in which the player participates. Current Arbitration Team ( @Arbitrator ): @Aggressor.ns
